Baked Apples

We were given a bunch of apples a while ago, and they ended up turning a bit brown. We know to make banana bread with brown bananas, but what about other fruit? Here is the perfect solution for apples!

-apples, pealed and sliced
-brown sugar
-lemon juice

-tin foil

Preheat oven to 350C. Take a piece of tin foil and put the pealed, sliced apples on it. sprinkle the lemon juice over the apples so that the brown sugar and cinnamon will stick, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon (how much you put on is up to you and your taste buds). Then take a second piece of tin foil and place it over the pile of apples, and starting at one side, fold the edges into the middle. Repeat this on all 4 sides, making sure that there is a good seal and no holes.

Toss it in the oven for about 30 minutes and take it out. serve over ice cream or, if you are trying to be healthy, not ice cream.

Tip! If you leave the apples in longer, like 50-60 minutes, then you can mash the apples and make home-made apple sauce. Some good apple sauce flavours is honey and apple, or cinnamon and brown sugar.
